Our doglead hides have been carefully treated with natural oils to ensure its suppleness and will replenish the grain surface of scuffs and scratches that will occur.

This leather will age beautifully with time.

What is greased leather?

 
Greased leather (fat leather) is a type of leather in which the leather is treated with natural oil or wax and  as a result has a particularly greasy and waxy surface. The colour of the leather is not applied with a coating but is deeply penetrated and drumdyed in such a way that the structure of the leather is clearly visible. The chrome tanned drum dyed process is also grease plumping up the fibres of the leather.
