Description

Soft Angel mineral-tanned hides ideal for equestrian creations and leather goods

Angel chocolate saddlery leather features :

The Angel hide is an unpressed, uncorrected, full-grain saddlery leather . This leather has an aniline finish that preserves the natural look of the leather. It has a through-tone and is enhanced by its velvet-tinted flesh . This leather is exceptionally durable. It is a mineral-tanned leather. It is characterised by a high degree of suppleness, giving it a silky touch throughout its life, even under heavy stress. Its grip makes it comfortable to hold with the hand. It will absorb food perfectly throughout its life.

The only difference between Angel Hide and Angel Nubuck Hide is the slight sanding of the grain side. Both start from the same base: a full Angel Hide. For the Nubuck version, the grain side is lightly sanded—just enough to create a velvety surface while still showing the grain. This light sanding causes the original surface colour to fade, so the hide is returned to the barrel and re-dyed.

Origin and traceability of Angel chocolate hides :
Angel chocolate hides come from of targeted farms from beef or bulls originating in France, Germany, Spain or Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in its production, a traceability processes of the Radermecker Tannery. Traceability covers sourcing, drum, finishing and associated quality testing.

Angel chocolate hide applications :
Angel chocolate hide is ideal for lining harness parts, especially bridle reins.

Angel saddle leather is also ideal for making saddle seats and cushions, as well as flaps linings.
Thanks to its suppleness, it can also be used to make leather goods such as bags, aprons and purses.

Finally, this leather can be used to revitalise or restore chairs and armchairs, as well as to create leather tablecloths and curtains.

Dimensions and hide area of the Angel chocolate hide :

The Angel hide includes the shoulder, butt and flanks. The nubuck version is only available in quarter hide and half hide. Nubuck is obtained by lightly sanding the grain, giving it a velvety feel while preserving the lightness, breathability and resistance of leather.

Care instructions for Angel chocolate hide :
Feeding the grain will nourish the areas between the pores of the hide and the pores themselves. Ultimately, it's the same process as feeding your hands when the hide is dry. Our Angel saddlery leather will resist moisture, so simply leave it to dry at room temperature to restore its appearance. Moistening Angel leather gives it greater elasticity and longevity, and Angel leather will shrink during the drying process without altering the suppleness of the hand.
