A BIT MORE ABOUT US

_________________________________________________

As well as supplying saddlers, harness makers and rug makers, we create specialist metalwork for the fashion, motor and refrigeration industries at our foundry based in the Midlands. Specialist premium polymer products are also made at the foundry from UK sourced rubber under the Equus brand. The Equus range includes overreach boots, quarter boots, rein grips, martingale stops and bit guards, amongst other products. We’re also well known for our wide selection of first rate riding and driving bits, which are made of high quality metal and, unlike most bits manufactured around the world, checked individually. With more than 350 designs we’re firmly at the forefront of the sector. Abbey England is proud to support a multitude of manufacturing, commercial and leisure businesses in both the UK and abroad.

We are renowned for our exceptional hardware, leathers and materials. We produce our metal work from one of the last foundries in the UK, which has been making quality brassware and buckles since 1832. This dedication to continuing the production of decorative and functional brassware, which looks beautiful on a leather surface, earned Abbey England a Royal Warrant for our service and supply of Abbey hardware to the Queen’s Royal Guard.

As a leading leather work supplier in the UK, we pride ourselves on offering the best service and quality, supplying premium goods and products from our own manufacturing and distribution centres based in Cheshire and the West Midlands.

Trust factors: Where do you source your leather? Our two main leather suppliers are Sedgwick and Pittards, both UK-based leather suppliers. Founded in 1900, Sedgwicks has been supplying the equestrian industry with top quality leather for over a hundred years. Sedgwicks & Co prides itself on providing leathers with visual appeal, endurance, resilience and true quality. Pittards’ leather hides are produced with almost 200 years of leather-making experience. We strive to ensure a consistent, friendly and helpful service to aid customers with their enquiries. This is reflected by our diverse list of long-standing customers who have turned to Abbey England as their source of Abbey hardware.
