This polycotton thread is a satin thread with a twisted polyester cotton mix, satinised for use in machines. The larger the number, the finer the thread.

- NM8 is the thickest and typically used for heavy-duty stitching such as headcollars.
- NM12 is ideal for bridle work.
- NM20 is typically used by saddlers and bridle makers who prefer a finer thread.
